We’re often told: ‘Show your feelings’ ‘Let your emotions out’ and ‘Wear your heart on your sleeve’, but at the same time we are also told to ‘Control your emotions’, ‘Get a grip’ or just to ‘Chill out’. With these conflicting instructions, is it any wonder that many people aren’t sure whether to hide or succumb to their feelings?
